Modern Day Slavery Policy

  1. Purpose

TechWyse is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of our operations and supply chain. This policy outlines our approach to identifying, preventing, and addressing risks related to modern slavery, in compliance with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

  1. Scope

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, suppliers, and business partners of TechWyse, including subsidiaries and subcontractors.

  1. Our Commitment

We operate a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery. We are committed to:

  • Acting ethically and with integrity in all business relationships.
  • Implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our business or supply chains
  1. Governance and Accountability
  • The Operations Director is responsible for overseeing the implementation of this policy.
  • All staff are required to report concerns related to modern slavery via our whistleblowing procedures.
  • Our governance framework includes regular reviews of our approved suppliers onboarding processes to ensure compliance
  1. Staffing

Our recruitment and line management team must adhere to the following Code of Conduct:

  • Employees should be free to choose to work for their employer and to leave the company upon reasonable notice.
  • All employees must be provided with a clear contract of employment, which complies with local legislation.
  • All employees must be treated in a fair and equal manner and with dignity and respect.
  1. Supplier Due Diligence

We maintain an approved supplier list and conduct due diligence before onboarding new suppliers. This includes:

  • Annual review of approved suppliers
  • Checking if suppliers comply with the Modern Slavery Act
  • Completion of a Modern Slavery Supplier Questionnaire if they have no policy (for new approved suppliers only)
  1. Training and Awareness
  • All employees involved in recruitment, line management, sales or account management complete to complete an online education module on modern slavery.
  1. Risk Assessment and Monitoring

We regularly assess risks of modern slavery in our operations and supply chain. This includes:

  • Reviewing supplier policies where available.
  • Monitoring recruitment processes to ensure ethical hiring.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of our controls and policies
  1. Reporting and Remediation

Any concerns or suspected breaches of this policy must be reported immediately. We will:

  • Investigate all reports thoroughly.
  • Take appropriate action including termination of supplier contracts or disciplinary action against employees if breach is considered gross misconduct.
  1. Review and Updates

This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect changes in legislation, business operations, or risk assessments.
